VERONICA ANSTEY COMPETITION 2015
26 players arrived to play at Nuneaton Golf Club. The weather was overcast with the prospect of rain later in the day but fortunately when it came, it did not last long. A little breezy at times made the course play more difficult but on the whole scoring was good.
Winner of the Trophy was new County member Courtney MORRIS from Coventry Golf Club, playing in her first County Competition, with a net 73, winning on the back nine from Yen PHAM, from Shirley Golf Club, in second with Karen McKENNA from Kenilworth Golf Club coming in 3rd. Longest drive was Lisa BARTON on 9th and Nearest the Pin was Rachel RUSTED on the 17th, both from Coventry club. Charlotte HARTSHORN won the prize for the Best GROSS.
County Captain, Karen HEARN thanked Nuneaton for hosting the event together with all the members that had helped with ball spotting etc. on the day. County President Jane DENNICK presented the trophy to the winner.
