The Inter Club Team Championships for 2015 were held at Moor Hall Golf Club on Monday 7th September and with 21 Teams entered with 5 players in each team, they were treated to a bright sunny day, in fact just the day to play golf. The course was reported to be playing very tough especially if the ball veered off the fairway and putting on the greens proved to be very difficult. The end results showed just how difficult it was with only 1 player coming in under par and 2 on level par!!
An exciting finish with the score board being closely watched by all. Home club Moor Hall and the strong Coventry Golf Club tied for the Gross on a score of 436. They will each hold the Chipman Trophy for six months.
The Net prize was also extremely close with Maxstoke Park finishing on 395 just one shot ahead of Walmley.
The County Captain Karen Hearn thanked Moor Hall for hosting the event and making everyone very welcome. She also thanked the many helpers from Moor Hall from the Starters to Ball Spotters to the Ladies welcoming the players on arrival - all had done a fantastic job to make this day so well run and enjoyable.
