The venue for the 2016 Summer Meeting was Copt Heath GC and on a dry but dull summer's day. The competition was a popular Better Ball with players competing off the new 90% handicap allowance.
Competition was quite fierce with many good scores being recorded for the variety of Gross and Nett prizes, with the winners listed below:
Summer Salvers - Awarded to the pair with a combined 40+ handicap with the winners coming from very busy members of the WLCGA Board!
Liz MURDOCH (Leamington & County GC) and Issy BARTRAM (Harborne GC) - Nett 67
Summer Meeting Trophies - Awarded to the best Nett scores:
Runners Up - Margaret SMITH (Kenilworth GC) and Judith TURNER (Ladbrook Park GC) - Nett 67
Winners - Sarah WYNN and Elizabeth BETTS (Moor Hall GC) - Nett 67 (on countback)
Hartill Jubilee Goblets - Awarded to the pairing with the best Gross scores:
Lisa BARTON (Coventry GC) and Rachel RUSTED (Nuneaton GC) - Gross 71
Longest Drive - Lisa BARTON (Coventry GC)
Nearest Pin - Sue WESTALL (Copt Heath GC)
Copt Heath Lady Captain, Jo HARRISON welcomed the assembled company at the Prize Presentation and hoped that all had enjoyed played at Copt Heath.
County Captain, Margaret SHEEPY responded by thanking Copt Heath for hosting the event and for the assistance given during the day by members.
