Success for our Warwickshire Girls in the Midland South INDIVIDUAL and TEAM 18 hole Championships
Four of our up and coming Warwickshire Girls namely, Jessica McGHEE (Rugby), Phoebe ANDERSON (Rugby), Amelia MACHIN (Kenilworth) and Megan GEE (Maxstoke) entered into both the Individual and Team 18 hole Midland South Championships on Thursday 1st September at Cherwell Edge Golf Club, Banbury.
In the Individual event Jessica McGHEE won with a magnificent score of 44 points, by a margin of just one shot from Rachel MacKINLAY from Buckinghamshire Golf Club, who scored 43 points. In third place in the individual event was Phoebe ANDERSON with 38 points.
Lots were drawn to select the three players for the Warwickshire Team and with two scores to count either way we would have won the Trophy. Well done girls.

Lauren BEAMAN puts in a solid performance:
The main competition of the day was the 36 hole Championship. We were only able to field one player for this event namely Lauren BEAMAN from Moor Hall. Lauren had a solid round of 80 Gross (Nett 73) in the morning putting her near the top of the field. After an afternoon round of Gross 85 (Nett 76) Lauren finished 5th Gross and 6th Nett in a field of 15 competitors.
