On Monday 5th August, the Warwickshire Ladies Summer Meeting took place at Kenilworth Golf Club. Surprisingly, on the day we only had rain at the end of the day, in spite of the awful forecasts given the previous day. Most of the players weren't looking forward to playing in the rain but in the event, it turned out to be excellent playing conditions.
Some 80 players, playing in pairs in Better Ball format set off in this Stroke Play Competition and some excellent scores were posted by the end of the day. The course was in excellent condition with the greens very true and the greenkeeper was thanked for presenting the course so well in spite of the excessive overnight rain.
