The Winter Alliance season for 2013 - 2014 commenced on Monday 4th November with the venue being West Midlands Golf Club.
On a truly autumnal day, with bright sunshine and a chill wind, the pairs set off to play in the Greensome Stableford format. Conditions underfoot were extremely wet due to rain over the past few days, but everyone enjoyed being out in the sunshine and there was a range of scores posted.
The winners were from Harborne Golf Club - Izzy BARTRAM and her partner Amanda BURROW who came in with an excellent 34 points with Jane BARKER and Mary O'NEIL from Olton Golf Club, coming a close second with 32 points.
At the Prize Presentation, newly appointed West Midlands Lady Captain, Pat HUSSEY welcomed everyone to the club and hoped that the players had enjoyed their day. Amanda spoke for the winning team and thanked West Midlands for their hospitality and her playing partners for their company.
The next Winter Alliance will be played on SATURDAY 7th December, at Henley Golf Club.
